“White Clousers and Schoolies”

Our normal fishing grounds in the Royal River have been inconsistent. This time of year is all about catching big numbers of fish and the Scarborough Marsh is the hot spot. We headed out for a perfect falling tide at Ferry Beach, but wind out of the East made us work for every fish.

As usual, a white clouser fished along the drop-off just up-stream of the rocky point was effective and we managed to land a number of nice, early-season fish.  A small, white clouser proved to be an effective fly at Ferry Beach, and juvenile herring and surf candy patterns have also produced good numbers of fish.

Overall, it was a great day and night at Ferry Beach. Be sure to follow the adventure and be on the lookout for the next week’s film
